Music VIDEO: Jessie Baylin Performs ‘Hurry Hurry’ Live In The Studio on KCRW
Nashville-based Jessie Baylin melds Pop, Jazz, Blues, and Western in a way that evokes the sounds of Burt Bacharach & Dionne Warwick with hints of KD Lang and Camera Obscura’s Tracyanne Campbell. And yet, she still has her own unique sound.
Beautiful music, resonant voice, … I love it!
The single, “Hurry Hurry,” is from the new album, Little Spark — released by her own label, Blonde Rat Records. If you’d also like to hear the studio version of this track, you can check out the official video, HERE, directed by her pal Scarlett Johansson.
ENJOY!

Watch: Everything But The Girl Perform ‘Before Today’ Live In London ’99
I’ve been a long-time fan of Everything But the Girl. They have an endless discography of great songs; always managing to keep it fresh by allowing their sound to evolve quite dramatically with the times. Their early sound had a jazzy, French Cafe-ish feel — not unlike the Style Council (another favorite of mine) — but absolutely nothing like the electronica music they would become famous for in the years to follow.
I’ve gone through periods — especially in the mid-to-late 90s — virtually addicted to their electronica/dance albums; never quite getting enough, never tiring of them.
Here they are performing their song, ‘Before Today,’ live at The Forum in London, England (November 1999).
